2026 COMPETITION CATEGORIES

🎨 Beginner Small

Single miniature up to 40mm tall (measured from the feet to the top of the head). Banners, scenic bases, plinths, and decorative elements are not included in the height measurement.

🎨 Beginner Large

Single miniature between 40mm and 75mm tall (measured from the feet to the top of the head). Banners, scenic bases, plinths, and decorative elements are not included in the height measurement.

🏆 Masters Small

Single miniature up to 40mm tall (measured from the feet to the top of the head). Banners, scenic bases, plinths, and decorative elements are not included in the height measurement.

🏆 Masters Large

Single miniature between 40mm and 75mm tall (measured from the feet to the top of the head). Banners, scenic bases, plinths, and decorative elements are not included in the height measurement.

⚔️ Squad

A group of three or more miniatures. Scenic basing is encouraged, but entries with extensive scenery or narrative elements may be moved to the Diorama category.

📖 Diorama

Any size. A scene that tells a story through composition, characters, and environment.

🎭 Open

Busts, display pieces, large-scale models, and everything that doesn't fit the standard categories. This is the only category where non-miniature painting disciplines and mixed media are permitted.

🎖️ Veterans

Invite only. Open to selected painters, including previous Golden Brush winners. Runs alongside the main event and is judged by the audience.

🌍 Online

Open to entries of any size or category for those unable to attend in person. Limited prizes available.

Young Bloods

Open to entries of any size or category for those 15years and younger
